A pair of University initiatives are bringing entrepreneurship to the academic forefront: Entrepreneurship Across the Curriculum aimed at students and modeled after the successful Languages Across the Curriculum and a second initiative to help faculty members who are considering starting their own business.

University celebrates opening of Confucius Institute


Nov. 6, 2009

Binghamton University will officially celebrate its latest global partnership, the Confucius Institute of Chinese Opera, in an opening celebration scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the Anderson Center for the Performing Arts. The festivities, which are free and open to the public, will include an opera performance by a troupe from China’s prestigious National Academy of Chinese Theater Arts (NACTA).

Flu stations in residence halls aid students

Nov. 4, 2009

From 8 p.m. to midnight each day, students have access to Flu Stations in their RA offices to get alcohol wipes, tempa dots to check for fever, tissue packs, refills for hand sanitizer and masks to prevent the spread of germs. The University Health Service is awaiting additional H1N1 vaccine and will schedule clinics when more is received. In the meantime, students can prepare for the next clinic by downloading the vaccine consent form found on the H1N1 updates page. Additional clinics will be scheduled and publicized on this page when more vaccine is received.
