Harpur College Dean's Research Semester Awards

These awards for junior faculty members release faculty from major teaching obligations for one semester, so they can concentrate on a research project or creative endeavor. Click here for more information.

School of Management (SOM)

SOM has a faculty development committee which is charged with being a resource for junior faculty who wish to have access to collegial advice/help in the areas of research and teaching as they work toward the achievement of promotion and tenure. In addition, each new junior-level faculty member is assigned a senior faculty mentor who is expected to be accessible to and to nurture new faculty in making the transition to full-time faculty status. Upon invitation, mentors and members of the faculty development committee will make peer visits to classrooms to provide insight and feedback about pedagogy. For more information, contact the SOM Dean's Office.
