Dates and Deadlines for 2010

This is what calendars and red magic markers were made for.

Carefully read the following information for suggested completion deadlines for your Binghamton University application:

Regular Freshman Admission

There's no official deadline for regular freshman admission. However, since space is limited, students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. See our list of suggested dates for completing and submitting your application. All decisions for fall 2010 will be sent out by April 1, 2010.

Transfer Students

Binghamton accepts qualified transfer students in both spring and fall 2010 semesters. The recommended 2010 completion deadlines for transfer applications are November 15, 2009 for spring and March 15, 2010 for fall.

International Students

We are only accepting international transfer student applications for spring 2010. The suggested completion deadline is November 15, 2009. Freshman applying for the fall 2010 semester, the suggested completion deadline is February 15, 2010; transfer students applying for fall, the suggested completion deadline is March 15, 2010.

Financial Aid

The priority deadline for filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is February 1. If you plan to enroll in the spring semester, the priority deadline is November 15. Even if you miss these deadlines, you can still apply for financial aid, but be aware that funding for need-based financial aid is limited, and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Educational Opportunity Program

The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is designed to assist Binghamton applicants from educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. We suggest you submit your EOP application by March 1.

Talent Review

A review is available to select applicants with developed art and music talents. If you are interested in a talent review, please submit Binghamton's paper Supplemental Application Form by January 15. Qualifying candidates will be invited by mail to submit additional materials and/or schedule an audition. Please do not send materials unless requested by Binghamton. Applicants who already submitted The Common Application or Supplemental Application Form and did not request a talent review should contact Assistant Director of Admissions Katie Kane to update your application.
