Check Email About 5 days after we receive your application, you will receive from Binghamton University a B-Number and User ID via email. One you receive your B-Number and User ID, activate your password. You must do this before you can successfully complete the rest of your application.

  Request Official Transcripts

Although you do not have to submit a final high school transcript as part of the admissions application, once enrolled, you MUST submit a final transcript or GED certificate or your file is not considered complete. Failure to submit a final transcript will prevent you from registering for future semester courses.

  • Request that an official transcript from every college or educational institution you've attended since high school be mailed to the Admissions office.
  • If you have earned less than 24 college credits after high school graduation at the time of application, also mail your official, final high-school transcript and have SAT/ACT scores sent electronically from the testing service.
  • You may also be asked to submit a Midterm Grade Report during application review.
  • Assess what coursework credit may transfer

EOP ApplicantsEducational Opportunity Program (EOP) students are required to have their current school complete our EOP Transfer Verification Form. Be sure to include your B-Number. 

Nursing Baccalaureate Accelerate Track (BAT) ApplicantsStudents who hold a bachelor's or graduate degree in a field other than nursing may apply to the Decker School of Nursing's Baccalaureate Accelerated Track (BAT) Program. Information on eligibility, admissions requirements and application deadlines can be found on the program's website.

FAFSABe sure to complete the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you would like to be considered for federal and/or New York State financial aid. You can apply online starting January 1, 2012, and Binghamton's recommended filing date is February 1, 2012. You can still apply for financial aid after this date, but be aware that funding for institutional need-based financial aid is limited, and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

All admitted students who have a FAFSA on file (and sent to Binghamton University) will receive a financial aid award notification via email from Financial Aid Services in November 2011 (for spring 2012 admission) and March 2012 (for fall 2012 admission).
