Ashley Mears

I have a lot of fun traveling to New Jersey and meeting prospective students.
I’ve met many outstanding students, but I wanted to share one story with you that stands out in my mind.
“Megan” was a high school senior who had wanted to come here since the beginning of high school. Tragically, her mom got sick with cancer and, thinking they would not be able to afford Binghamton, Megan decided not to apply and made plans to attend a community college. Well, Megan’s friend let her guidance counselor know and the guidance counselor worked with the family and our staff here; together they discovered Binghamton would still be within their economic reach. To this day, Megan’s mom sends me thank you cards. She recently sent me a picture of her daughter with the caption: Future doctor. You go, Megan!
As a recent Binghamton grad myself, it wasn’t too long ago that I was looking for the perfect fit. I found it at Binghamton and you can too. We’re a great investment for out-of-state students and we’re close to home.
