Tara L. Gates

As the first person in my family to graduate from college, I understand students need guidance and support as they navigate through the application process.  As someone who grew up in this area,  I especially enjoy meeting and assisting local prospective students.

My family is truly a Binghamton University family. I’m the proud mother of Shane who is a graduate of the university Campus Pre-School. My husband, Jeff, is a graduate alumnus and he works at Binghamton, too.  I am a graduate of the State University of New York system, and can't say enough great things about a SUNY education.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking gourmet dinners with my husband and learning to maneuver my son's Nintendo DSI !

I’m a busy career woman, and a busy mom: I’m proof that you can have it all! I consider myself a success story, and I enjoy helping others achieve their goal of graduating from one of the top universities in the nation.
