Tara L. Gates

As the first person in my family to graduate from college, I understand students need guidance and support as they navigate through the application process. I also have past experience as a mental health counselor, and helping others is what I enjoy. That’s why I love my job working with prospective transfer students.

I’m the proud mother of a three-year-old boy, Shane. And, I’m part of a Binghamton family. My husband, Jeff, is a graduate alumnus and he works at Binghamton, too! In our spare time we enjoy cooking gourmet dinners together.

I’m a busy career woman, and a busy mom: I’m proof that you can have it all! I consider myself a success story, and I enjoy helping others achieve their goal of graduating from one of the top universities in the nation.
