Glenn G. Bartle Distinguished Alumnus Award Recipient
We honor Alex for his dedication and commitment to the tradition of academic excellence at Binghamton University and Harpur College. It is a part of who he is. Alex’s commitment to the University is obvious through his work with the Alumni Association and Foundation Board of Directors as well as the Binghamton University Magazine Editorial Advisory Committee. His dedication to the University has helped to set the stage for us to continue to enrich the lives of deserving and talented students going forward into the world.
Michele Boston '72
Edward Weisband Distinguished Alumna Award Recipient
She is dedicated to helping people around the globe. From her chosen profession as CEO of Boston Health Care Systems Inc. — a leader in providing the finest residential and consumer services for persons with developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries and mental illness — to her personal commitment as co-creator of the nonprofit group No Time for Poverty — with its primary focus on Project Haiti — she has worked to make a difference in the outlook of many, and her support has been felt in the lives of her clients and employees as well. Her leadership and optimism have touched too many lives to count and make her an exceptional role model for students today and tomorrow.

Alumni Admissions Volunteer Recognition Award Recipient
Helen is a shining example of an outstanding volunteer. From staffing college fairs to helping scout locations for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) summer tests to e-mailing admitted students, she has shown an unwavering dedication to the University. Her preparedness and excitement have greatly benefited the lives of a multitude of future Binghamton alumni.
Paul Saunders
Distinguished Service Award Recipient
Paul's contributions to Binghamton University have been immeasurable. He and his wife, Patricia '65, have hosted numerous events for Binghamton University alumni and donors. In addition, the support they have demonstrated through monetary contributions has made a significant difference in the lives of many.
Camille Clare '92
Alumni Association Special Recognition Award Recipient
She has demonstrated unwavering support for the Charles Drew Minority Pre-Health Society. Through the years since her graduation, she has provided knowledge and inspiration to hundreds of student members and her commitment to the organization was highlighted this year, the 30th anniversary of the group. Camille’s coordination of the reunion details brought students and alumni together for learning, networking and celebrating. The event was the highlight of the spring 2009 semester.
