Grey's Anatomy vs. Reality

What does being a physician really mean? How does Binghamton University really prepare its students for medical school and beyond? What are our physician alumni doing now? This panel presentation will be facilitated by five physician alumni who will share their personal, academic, and professional experiences with current pre-health students. They will also discuss why they became physicians and advice they have for BU's future physicians. Physician panelists include: Dr. Robert Best '88, Dr. John D. Bisognano '84, '87, Dr. Adam Fox '92, Dr. Joshua Usen '92, and Dr. Anita Sargent '01.

The current staff and government want to re-create some of the older Newing T-shirts - throwbacks, if you will. Please bring an old Newing T-shirt so we can take a picture of it.

Harpur Quad Grand Opening and Dedication of the Harpur College
"Wall of Excellence"
Harpur College of Arts and Sciences has always been the intellectual heart of Binghamton University. To represent Harpur's centrality to the campus, the plaza being developed between the science complex, the fine arts facilities, and the Library Tower will be named Harpur Quad. The Wall of Excellence display will feature a history of Harpur College, points of distinction, and recognition of outstanding faculty, remarkable students, and accomplished alumni. We will recognize members of special anniversary class years during the Harpur Quad dedication. Gerald Kadish, Distinguished Professor of History, will speak at the dedication. There will be a Festival of Faculty in the IASH Conference Room during a reception after the Wall of Excellence is introduced. To help celebrate the unveiling of the Harpur Quad and to provide flexible financial support for Harpur College students, faculty, and programs, we ask that you make a gift to the Binghamton Fund for Harpur College. Those who contribute at the leadership level ($1,000 or more) will be included in the Harpur College Honor Roll of Donors that will be part of the Wall of Excellence. These two teams have faced each other in the America East Men's Soccer Conference Championships in 2006 and 2007. The Bearcats were victorious in 2006 and earned a trip to the NCAA Soccer Tournament. A dazzling fireworks display will follow, provided by Campus Recreation and the Student Association. Tickets should be purchased as early as possible from bubearcats.com, as the Homecoming game usually sells out.
