Let us know you're attending Homecoming
Homecoming is about six months away. It may seem a long way off, but Oct. 8-10 will be here before you know it. Make plans today to join us on campus that weekend, and let your friends and classmates know you're doing so. Visit the Homecoming website today, and add your name to our attendee list. You can see who's planning to attend Homecoming. Perhaps, a friend will see your name on the list and make plans to return to campus so you can catch up in person.

Highlighting alumni volunteerism
In recognition of National Volunteer Month, we salute the efforts of all alumni who donate their time on behalf of the University. We share some of their stories here, and invite you to become involved with your alma mater. We hope you'll find one of our volunteer opportunities to be a match to your talents and interests. Read in this issue of Alumni Connect about the service of our alumni admissions and career development volunteers.

Help us recruit the best and brightest
As a Binghamton graduate, you are the face of the University in the working world. You can also represent your alma mater to the next generation of college students.

Giving back through mentoring, career programs
In today's economic environment, serving as a career development volunteer can really enable you to make a difference in the life of a current student or fellow graduate. More than 3,400 graduates are part of the Alumni Career Network, which is a searchable database of graduates who are willing to be contacted for career advice. You can find out more and join the network on the B-Connected online alumni community.

New way to send us Class Notes
Want to share news about a wedding, birth, new job, promotion or some other personal or professional achievement? Interested in seeing what your classmates are up to? Take advantage of the new Class Notes feature on the B-Connected online alumni community.

2010-11 budget update from Think Binghamton
Budget deliberations are currently taking place in Albany. In addition to SUNY's budget, the immediate future of the Public Higher Education Empowerment and Innovation Act -- which proposes much-needed and long-overdue regulatory reform for the SUNY system -- will be determined.
