Golf Classic supports legacy scholarship fund

2012 Alumni Golf Classic Champions By Steve Seepersaud

The Binghamton University Athletes team - with members Andrew Hutchings '05, George Gorton, Tom Hackett '08 and Corey Taylor '11 - won the 2012 Alumni Golf Classic, held Aug. 3, at Vestal Hills Country Club. The foursome posted a tournament record-low score of 55 for 18 holes. You can see a list of award winners at the tournament's website.

While the winning score was impressive, the overall results of the tournament were tremendous. We had 37 foursomes participate, which is the highest total in the event's history. Proceeds from this tournament, which helps to bring the University and local communities together, support the endowed Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship Fund. This benefits the children of our alumni who have chosen to follow in the footsteps of their parents by attending Binghamton University.
