Raymond R. D'Agostino '65 was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for 2012. He has practiced health law in New York for more than 30 years, and leads the Health Care Practice group at the law firm Hancock Estabrook, LLP.
Shari Lawrence Pfleeger '70 and her husband, Chuck, published Analyzing Computer Security (Prentice Hall, 2011). The book presents the elements of computer security as viewed by a variety of attack types. Each chapter begins with a description of a real attack, then discusses what was exploited and how the attack could have been prevented.
Simon J. Bronner '74 wrote Explaining Traditions: Folk Behavior in Modern Culture (University Press of Kentucky, 2012), which discusses the underlying reasons for the continuing significance of traditions, delving into their social and psychological roles in everyday life from old-time crafts to folk creativity on the Internet.
Peter Guttman '76 is the author of five award-winning hardcover books about travel adventures around the world. His most recent book, Christmas in America: A Photographic Celebration of the Holiday Season (Skyhorse Publishing, 2011) was released in its second edition and is available as an iPad and iPhone app as well. Guttman has twice won the Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist of the Year Award.
Jack B. Davidoff '81 received the 2011 New York State EMS Physician of Excellence Award from the state's Department of Health. He is chief medical director at Mercy Flight Central, Inc.
Marsha Lucas, MA '88, wrote Rewire Your Brain for Love: Creating Vibrant Relationships Using the Science of Mindfulness (Hay House, 2012), which helps readers use the practice of mindfulness to grow better healthier brain pathways for better, healthier relationships. Prior to entering private practice, she was a neuropsychologist on the faculty at the Emory University School of Medicine. She currently has a psychotherapy practice in Washington.
Michael Stromer '98 is vice president of customer connections at JetBlue Airways. He was formerly director of e-commerce and interactive marketing. Stromer joined JetBlue in 2007, after nearly eight years with 1-800-Flowers.com in various marketing positions of increasing responsibility.
