Howard R. Flaxman '68 (left), a partner in the Philadelphia office of Fox Rothschild LLP, was honored with City of Hope's Spirit of Life Award in September 2012. City of Hope is an independent biomedical research, treatment and education institution leading the fight to cure cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening diseases.

Stewart Weiner '74 (right) was named by the magazine DBusiness as a Top Lawyer for 2013 in the category of Construction Law. Stewart works for the firm Maddin, Hauser, Wartell, Roth & Heller PC, in Southfield, Mich.

Kerron Norman '89 (left) received a 2012 Diversity Award from the Franklin H. Williams Judicial Commission. The award recognizes individuals who promote racial and ethnic fairness in the New York State Unified Court System and the legal community. She joined ANDRUS, a leading provider and innovator of trauma informed services for children and families throughout Westchester County, N.Y., and the Tri-State Area. Kerron oversees all of the service components of the community and mental-health divisions.

Veronica Vanterpool '97 (right) is executive director of the Tri-State Transportation Campaign, which promotes sustainable transportation policy in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. She was appointed to a state-level task force to examine transit options along the Interstate 287 corridor. She is on the board of the Bronx River Alliance and lives in Westchester County, N.Y.

Stephanie (Fiato) Monahan '00 published her first book 33 Valentines (Entangled Edge, 2013), a work of women's fiction. Learn more at stephmonahan.com.

Christa DeHuff '06, MS '08 launched a wedding planning business in New York. A Central Park Wedding offers all-inclusive packages for couples getting married in Central Park. She works with local couples and those planning a destination wedding.
