University to lead 'Safe Schools' project
The University is leading the effort in a project designed to create a safer environment for 28,000 children in 10 Broome County school districts.





State award will fund stem-cell courses
A state grant will enable the University to offer courses on stem-cell research in the future. Binghamton University was one of five New York schools to receive funding for Undergraduate Curricula on Stem Cell Science and Related Ethical, Legal and Societal Implications.

University unveils Climate Action Plan
For President Lois B. DeFleur, setting and implementing goals for climate neutrality is more than just a proper course for the University to take.

Celebrating Confucius Institute opening
The University officially opened its latest global partnership initiative, the Confucius Institute of Chinese Opera, with a celebration at the Anderson Center.  Ceremonies featured a dinner, reception and  performance by members of the National Academy of Chinese Theater Art.
