ALUMNI GATHERINGS
Once again, the New York State Chili Championship took place on the Binghamton University campus. And, once again, the Alumni Association team "Smoldering Spoon" received honors. On May 1, the team, led by head cook Dan Polhamus '00, took first place in the showmanship competition and second place in the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) competition, qualifying for the International Chili Championship this fall in Terlingua, Texas. Pictured are team members Stew Crane '99 and Aaron Kaminsky '03. See photos from this event at the Alumni Association's photo-sharing site.
On May 7, the Alumni Association sponsored a gathering at Field House Sports Bar in Philadelphia. Alumni were able to meet up with the men's and women's crew teams, who were in the area to compete in the Dad Vail Regatta. Pictured left to right are: Christine Shyu, Stacey Edmond, Katherine Hamilton and Lisa Fischoff, all '10. Check out the Binghamton University Alumni in Philadelphia group on Facebook.
On May 20, in Denver, alumni met up and had a chance to learn about an event being planned for this summer. Alison Tobin '83 and Mary Duggan '95 hosted the mixer at Great Northern Tavern, and were on hand to answer questions about a whitewater rafting adventure that will take place on July 11. This event will be a blast - sign up today!

During Memorial Day weekend, Binghamton alumni got together in Boston for a reception at An Tua Nua, followed by a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park. See photos from this event at the Alumni Association's Kodak Gallery site.
