University Advocacy: Think Tank Membership Tops 9,000
More than 9,000 supporters are now members of the University's "Think Tank" advocacy group. This year, advocates played an important role in securing support for Gov. Andrew Cuomo's NYSUNY 2020 challenge grant program. Approval of Binghamton's proposal, which will enable Binghamton to construct a state-of-the-art Smart Energy Research and Development Facility, expand educational opportunities for 2,000 additional students, and hire 385 faculty and staff, is expected soon. Homecoming 2012

We invite you to join us on campus for Homecoming 2012, Friday-Sunday, Oct. 12 - 14. All alumni and their families are welcome for what should be a very enjoyable fall weekend in Binghamton. Not only do we want to see you and your families, we want to see those friends who made your college days so special. Reach out to them in any way possible: phone, e-mail, social networking, B-Connected (or all of the above) to encourage them to attend.

In just a few weeks, we'll open registration for Homecoming. We have added a few new events to the schedule, such as a Friday night mixer, a Saturday night mixer in downtown Binghamton for young alumni, and the grand opening celebration of the Harpur Quad. The weekend will have plenty of time for you and your families and friends to explore campus on your own, seeing what's familiar and new. Homecoming will also have traditional events, such as a tailgate party and the Saturday night men's soccer game. College-in-the-Woods will have activities Saturday and Sunday to commemorate the community's 40th anniversary. See the schedule at the Homecoming website.
