ALUMNI GATHERINGS
Alumni of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholars Program held a reunion on March 3, at Ainsworth in Manhattan. The event brought together old friends, recent scholars graduates, faculty members and current scholars. Dean Upinder Dhillon and Elliot Kamlet, the program's director, discussed innovative and exciting things PwC Scholars are currently working on. The scholars program is an innovative honors program within Binghamton's School of Management that has grown to approximately 140 members who excel in academics, leadership and professionalism. Only students with the most distinguished credentials are selected to become members.
On Thursday, March 18, Denver-area alumni gathered for a Nuggets basketball game vs. the New Orleans Hornets at the Pepsi Center. The event included a pre-game reception, held at Wynkoop Brewery in Denver. Our alumni took advantage of club-level seating at a highly discounted price.
WHRW held its ninth annual marathon March 19-20, honoring the memory of former general manager Paul Battaglia '00. The station invited former DJs to participate. In addition, WHRW asked alumni to listen live via the Web. Binghamton alumni cheered the Bearcats on at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Omaha, Neb. On March 20, former wrestler Billy Baldwin '85 hosted a VIP party for alumni and supporters at Upstream Brewing Co. Old Market in Omaha. The event included food, beverages and a commemorative Binghamton wrestling gift. Six Bearcat wrestlers represented the University in the national tournament, following the team's victory in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship.
