Jay Rosenthal '77 has been elected to the Management Committee at Jones, Skelton & Hochuli, PLC, in Phoenix, one of the largest law firms in Arizona. He has been with the firm for 19 years. He practices in the areas of commercial, tort, construction and insurance litigation. He is also on the Board of Directors of Temple Chai in Phoenix and a member of the Scottsdale Unified School District Risk Retention Trust.
Barbara Vance '78, a realtor in central Florida, was featured on the winter cover of RE/MAX’s international magazine ABOVE, highlighting a story that chronicles the continued dominance of Canadian homebuyers in the United States, particularly in central Florida.
Bruce Ritter '81 has published his first novel under the pen name Bruce Adams. The Palace of Dreams (Bryce Cullen Publishing, 2012) takes readers on a gripping, unforgettable adventure. Torn between his loyalty to his brother and his responsibility to the rest of the world, protagonist Del Verdan embarks upon a journey that will alter him forever.
David Torres '82 presented an abstract at the American Neuropsychiatric Association annual meeting in New Orleans this month; it will be published in The Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences 2012.
Sarah Cooper '90 was appointed as a City of New York Family Court Judge in January. Prior to her appointment, she practiced in Family Court for 15 years, having worked for the Administration for Children's Services and as a Court Attorney Referee in Family Court. She resides in the Bronx.
Nancy Mercado, PhD '04, was guest editor for phati’tude Literary Magazine's winter issue "What's in a Nombre", published in February. She is a poet, editor, playwright, activist and educator whose work focuses on the Puerto Rican experience in the United States and in Puerto Rico, environmental issues and on various kinds of injustice.
