Save the date for Homecoming 2012
By Steve Seepersaud
Is there a college friend you'd like to catch up with? Perhaps, you haven't been to campus for awhile and you've heard about all the new construction, but haven't seen any of the new additions in person. Homecoming 2012 - planned for Oct. 12-14 - is a great time to come back to campus, relive what's familiar and see what's new.
All alumni and their families are welcome at Homecoming. The Alumni Relations office is working with campus partners on an exciting schedule of events for what will be a weekend-long, University-wide celebration. Traditional Homecoming events will be taking place. As usual, we'll have a tailgate party outside the Events Center and a men's soccer home game under the lights at the Bearcats Sports Complex. In addition, we'll have the Black Student Union Fashion Show, Greek God and the Faust 5K Run/Walk.
This year, we'll have Late Nite Madness as part of Homecoming Weekend. The Friday night event will be a showcase for the men's and women's basketball teams, and our spirit squads.
A partial schedule for the weekend is on the Homecoming website. Although registration won't officially open until summer, we invite you to visit the site today and add your name to our attendee list. This lets us - and, more importantly, your friends - know that you plan to be here. We look forward to seeing you on campus for what should be an unforgettable event.
