We're already working on some events for Homecoming 2010 that you won't want to miss. Make plans now to join us on campus Friday-Sunday, Oct. 8-10. And, reach out to classmates and encourage them to attend Homecoming.
All alumni and their families are welcome. We extend a special invitation to alumni who graduated in 1960, 1970, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2000 to join us for a great fall weekend in Binghamton.
We expect the weekend to include a number of events to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Harpur College. As we get closer to Homecoming weekend, we'll post details on this at the Homecoming and Harpur websites.
The School of Management will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a gala dinner on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 9. Early next year, we'll share details on the Homecoming and SOM websites.
Homecoming will also have events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Colonial News/Pipe Dream newspaper. Click on the image to read the first Colonial News, published on Nov. 22, 1946 (PDF - 4MB). Read the first Pipe Dream, published on Sept. 10, 1970 (PDF - 9MB). Adobe Reader required.
You can also view the Stop-Gap covers from Oct. 8, 1946 and Nov. 19, 1946. As we get closer to Homecoming, we'll share more electronic versions of past newspapers.
If you'd like to get involved in Homecoming, please contact Rose Frierman, senior director of alumni relations.
