What do we offer?
We’re here for you – to help you connect and to keep you updated on University happenings. Just like our alumni base – now at 100,000 and counting – we’re continually changing and growing to meet the needs of alumni, students, friends and the Binghamton University community. If you are a graduate of the University, you are a member of the Alumni Association; it's free.
Here are some of the benefits we provide:
B-connected
It is our secure virtual community - only for Binghamton University alumni. B-connected lets you update your personal profile, find fellow alumni, contact them and participate in the Alumni Career Network, a searchable online database of Binghamton graduates who have volunteered to be contacted by alumni and students regarding career information. You can search for alumni based on your career goals and/or geographic preferences.
New B-connected features:
• submit a Class Note and read updates your classmates have posted
• upload a profile picture and photo album
• instantly see a list of alumni living in your geographic area
• download electronic business cards
• upload a résumé
• create and share contact lists
• manage subscriptions to e-mail bulletins and online alumni newsletters
You can support the University by making a gift through B-connected.
E-mail forwarding
For years, the Alumni Association has offered a free e-mail forwarding service to all Binghamton University graduates. Because jobs and Internet service providers change over the years, there is value in having an e-mail address that remains constant.
We are working to provide an improved lifetime e-mail service to our alumni. While this process takes place, we will not be able to accept any new registrations for the current e-mail forwarding service. Please check back here late in the fall to find out more about what we will offer. We appreciate your patience.
Binghamton University Magazine
Published three times a year, the magazine keeps you connected with articles on campus culture, and stories about alumni, student and faculty achievements.
Alumni Connect
This online newsletter features stories about the University, profiles on alumni, campus happenings and information about alumni events.
Insurance and Financial Services
The Alumni Association offers, and receives royalties from, a variety of insurance programs:
Auto and Homeowners Insurance provided by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company - call 1-800-837-5254.
Health, life and travel insurance provided by American Insurance Administrators - call 1-800-922-1245 or visit the AIA website to learn more about GradMed medical insurance, AlumniDent dental insurance, AlumniTerm life insurance, and travel insurance.
Enterprise Rent-A-Car
Consider Enterprise Rent-A-Car the next time you make travel arrangements. The company offers special rates to Binghamton University alumni, which means you’ll save on their already-competitive rates. Enterprise offers a variety of late-model cars, so you should find just the right car for your next business or pleasure trip. The Alumni Association account number is L29B048, and PIN code is BIN. For more information, call 800-261-7331.
Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions
Binghamton alumni and their immediate family members can receive a 10-percent discount on Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions classroom or private tutoring packages. For more information, call 1-800-KAP-TEST or visit kaptest.com.
Campus Services
Visit the website for the on-campus Career Development Center to learn more about career resources for alumni.
Just because you've graduated doesn't mean you can't take advantage of the endless learning opportunities at Binghamton. Our Continuing Education office offers a wide variety of non-credit courses and programs. In fact, alumni can receive a discount on selected courses. New York state residents 60 years old and older may audit Binghamton University courses free of charge if space is available and the instructor approves. Call 607-777-2792 for more information.
Alumni over the age of 50 can join Lyceum, a community of lifelong learners affiliated with Elderhostel and our Graduate School of Education.
The Fast-Track Professional MBA Program offers alumni the chance to earn their MBA in one year in New York City, without having to give up full-time employment.
Fitness and recreation programs, including membership in Fitspace are available to alumni through Campus Recreational Services.
With our library courtesy card, alumni may borrow up to 15 books for four weeks without a charge. Information on how to take advantage of this is available from the libraries.
