Directions to the Art Museum

From Vestal Parkway (whether coming from east or west), enter Binghamton University through its main entrance.  (Be careful not to mistake the entrance to Binghamton University's Research Center on Murray Hill Road as the main campus.)  You'll be going up what is called Glenn G. Bartle Drive until you get to the traffic circle.

Going around the traffic circle, take the second exit off the traffic circle.  (If the circle looked like a clock that you entered at the 6:00 position, you'll be turning at the 10:00 position.)

Either make your first right to enter the Parking Garage (next to Lot D) and take a ticket.  Parking there is $1/hour.
Or continue several hundred feet straight ahead to park at a parking meter where a quarter will afford you 30 minutes and the maximum parking time of 1½ hours.  Meters are alongside the lawn area (known as the Peace Quad) both straight ahead and in front of the Couper Administration building (the eight-story tower that you approached from behind).

The Fine Arts building has a sculpture of Pegasus mounted on its second-story brick facade.  Enter the Fine Arts building under that sculpture and follow the signs to the University Art Museum and/or the Permanent Collection.

Buses may drop riders in front of the Fine Arts building and then park for free in Lot M1 or Lot H.  Drivers may stay in the bus if they choose.

Lot M1 is just south of where the Nature Preserve meets West Access Road.
Lot H is between the McQuire Building and the Pollard Memorial.

“Vibrations: Color Resonance in Antique Quilts, 1860–1940” is on the first floor in three rooms of the museum’s Permanent Collection.

“Contemporary Quilt Show” is on the second floor of the Fine Arts building in the University Art Museum.  From there you also will be able to proceed to “The Evolution of Natural Fibers” exhibit on the mezzanine level.

If need be, all three floors are accessible by elevator.
