Accessing Banner Tools

Banner can be accessed in one of three ways.  you can access the user-friendly Banner Self Service tools (BU BRAIN Self Service), the advanced administrator version called Internet Native Banner, or access Banner data via the Operational Data Store (ODS). Each offers a different level of access and each serves different, vital roles.

Internet Native Banner is the advanced administrative Oracle forms-based information tool.  INB offers access to all of the above tools, but also permits the updating and editing of records.  INB offers advanced access to the following areas of service:

The Banner Operational Data Store or ODS is a repository of Banner data that has been formatted for querying and reporting purposes. This is a vital tool when developing reports, conducting data analysis, analyzing trends, or attempting to merge and report advanced data elements.
