Come splash around and have some fun!

There are a variety of activities that happen at the East Gym pool in which students, faculty, staff and recreation members can participate.

Recreation Swim

On a weekly basis, there are both Lap Swim periods as well as Recreational Swim times offered.

Lap swim provides three lanes (slow, medium, fast) of swimming. Patrons must place themselves in a lane based on their swimming ability. All swimmers must swim in a circular pattern within the lane.

Recreational Swim allows patrons to swim at their leisure. Two lanes are available for those wishing to do laps during Recreational Swim hours. The pool has aqua joggers, noodles, kickboards, buoys, a basketball hoop, and lifejackets available for use during pool hours. There are no additional fees for students, faculty and staff to participate in these swim times. A valid BU ID card is all that is required to access the East Gym. Others wishing access must purchase a recreation membership at the Membership Services Office.
