RACQUETBALL

Racquetball - Recreational*
The Binghamton University Racquetball Club will acquire official club sport status in the fall 2003. A group of avid racquetball players, who wanted to take advantage of the many courts and good players that the University offered, revitalized the previously inactive club. Regular practices take place a few times a week and are casual, usually being a place where anyone, beginner to expert, can find a good game. Communication is typically in the form of an e-mail list. Users can ask for games or announce upcoming events. The club also travels to other colleges to compete in the ECRC (Eastern Collegiate Regional Conference) at participating schools such as Penn State, RPI, and University of Maryland. These take the form of at least four tournaments throughout the year, on convenient weekends. Typically the club places in the middle at these competitions, because of its small size. However, it is a young organization and is looking forward to upcoming tournaments to regain the glory that the Binghamton Racquetball Club once had.
