SOCCER (MEN)- COMPETITIVE

Created and organized in the fall of 2000 it is one of the youngest club's within club sports. The number of alumni is growing rapidly however due to the large interest the club generates. We have had well over 50 members in each of the past two seasons. In fall 2007, we hosted our first ever alumni game. The team participates in a spring indoor league as well as outdoor competitions throughout the year. Syracuse, Cornell, Colgate, Cortland, Ithaca, Delaware, and Rochester are all teams that are frequently seen on the schedule. In fall 07, the club went 6-0-2 on the way to its first Regional Tournament. The main season is in the fall, yet play continues year round due to participation in indoor soccer league and the ability to use the schools gym. Anyone is welcome to join the club, however prior soccer experience is recommended. Most players have high school or college experience. Practices are held Monday through Friday from 5:00-7:00 on the East Gym fields. Anyone interested in joining or watching the team can contact the Club Presidents and/or stop by a practice.

Accomplishments: Winner- 2007 Binghamton University XCELsior Award for Most Improved Student Organization by Category and Winner- 2004 Binghamton University XCELsior Award for "Promotion of Inter-Cultural Understanding"
