What is BOP?

Outdoor Pursuits is dedicated to the promotion of physical activity, wellness and a deeper understanding of nature through experience-based outdoor, adventure and environmental education. This mission is fostered through:

Turn your weekend into an Adventure!

Activities and workshops offer great opportunities to get out for the day and experience a new outdoor activity. Some of our trips include visiting the Cornell Climbing Wall, hiking local trails or paddling local rivers, tree climbing and traveling to Vermont for a weekend of winter sports (e.g., snowshoeing).

Credit classes range from kayaking to backpacking to winter camping and most outdoor activities in between! Our courses fulfill different health and wellness requirements, depending on the course.

The Rental Center can rent you all the equipment you need for camping, backpacking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing. Check out our complete list of equipment and prices designed for a student’s budget. New this year is commuter bike rentals!

Looking to organize your own trip? We can help! Our Adventure Resource Center is designed to help individuals plan trips and excursions. Contact us for an appointment, or stop by the office for information about a specific activity or location. Also, check out our Outdoor Recreation Resources list!

We are located on the lower level of the East Gym, room 38. The office and rental center are open Mon/ Tues/ Thurs/ Fri 10am - 4:30pm and Wed 10am - 1pm when classes are in session. For more information or to answer any questions, stop by, email, or give us a call at 607-777-6414.

We look forward to traveling into the great outdoors together with you!
