Project Description

The intern will assist the Curator of Collections in cataloguing historical art and artifacts owned by the museum and the Broome County Historical Society, primarily 19th and 20th century American material. Good research skills, neat handwriting, and attention to detail are important. Duties may include research or other tasks associated with upcoming exhibitions. Knowledge of American history and general computer skills are helpful but not required. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. American History, Art History, or Anthropology are helpful, but not mandatory. Mature attitude rather than specific academic status is important.
