| Project Description
Roberson Museum and Science Center has an extensive Taxidermy collection that is used for various school programs and exhibitions. An intern will work with the registrar to catalogue, organize and care for this collection. Knowledge of taxidermy and the ability to identify animal species is helpful, but not required. Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Major/student status preferred: Biology or Education majors are preferred. Mature attitude rather than specific academic status is important. Roberson Museum and Science Center is a regional museum of art and history, and a center for science and technology education serving the Susquehanna Valley region of New York and Pennsylvania. Roberson's mission is to preserve and communicate aspects of the region's cultural heritage and diversity; to explore contemporary issues of concern to the region from an interdisciplinary perspective; and to use its collections, planetarium, historic buildings, and other resources for educational and cultural programs accessible and relevant to its diverse audiences. |
