Roberson Museum and Science Center is a regional museum of art and history, and a center for science and technology education serving the Susquehanna Valley region of New York and Pennsylvania. Roberson Museum and Science Center engages people of all ages and backgrounds by providing community relevant exhibitions and programs in art, history, and science education. Roberson Museum and Science Center recently purchased a brand new Digitalis planetarium system that uses Nightshade software. An intern would work closely with the Director of Education and planetarium staff to develop visually stunning and entertaining shows for public programs and school groups. This internship experience includes learning how to use both the software and hardware of the Digital Planetarium system, programming of automated shows and exploring the full capabilities of the new system alongside planetarium staff. Major/student status preferred: Geological Sciences, Physics, Computer Science, and Education majors are preferred. Mature attitude rather than specific academic status is important.
