The Energy Leadership Program generates market demand for retrofitting jobs by educating community leaders about the retrofit process, and providing information regarding funding and certified contractors. Trained interns carry out the energy education tasks. These leaders in turn use their trusted positions in their social networks to spread that information. This increases demand for retrofits and energy efficiency, creating conditions for an expanding workforce and community economic and environmental benefits.
