SCA, the Student Conservation Association, is a national nonprofit committed to building the next generation of conservation leaders. We offer national service opportunities with organizations like the National Park Service, the National Forest Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, various Nature Conservancies, and various state and local agencies. Volunteers have the opportunity to serve in areas like visitor services, trail work, environmental education, habitat restoration, resource management, and other related fields. SCA programs are expense paid and include travel to the site, housing at the site, biweekly living allowance, and an AmeriCorps award. All majors and ages are eligible to apply. SCA also offers high school summer programs, and we hire leaders to oversee those high schoolers. Over 4000 people participate each year in SCA.
