The Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) serves as the hub for coordinating community engagement and service learning at Binghamton University. CCE works with communities within and beyond campus to support the attainment of academic, personal, and professional growth through civic engagement to develop active and engaged citizens. Social Media Internship (Fall 2012)

The Center for Civic Engagement is looking for two talented and motivated interns to work with us in utilizing new technology and social media. The interns are vital in helping CCE build its identity and keep students informed and engaged. There is a time commitment of at least 120 hours (approximately 10 hours a week) and the possibility of earning up to 4 credit hours. Only those with significant experience need apply. Submit your resume and cover letter discussing your interest, availability, and experience to Dr. Allison Alden, Director, by September 3, 2012 by e-mailing cce@binghamton.edu. CCE Service Ambassadors (Fall 2012)

The Center for Civic Engagement is looking for motivated and enthusiastic students with a passion for service to act as liaisons between our CCE office and Binghamton University students this fall. Responsibilities will include participating in CCE events, tabling in the Union, presentations to classrooms and student groups, and more. This student leadership opportunity will be available each semester, and it is open to all students who have completed at least one year of study at Binghamton University, including graduate students.
