CCE Drop-in hours for Faculty

Date & Time: Every Thursday from 9 to 11 AM

Location: Library South Ground 548

Faculty are invited every week to come and talk with CCE Staff about their community engagement efforts. No appointment necessary.

Wondering how to incorporate a community component into your course? Not sure how to construct a syllabus for your Service-Learning class? Interested in engaging with the community is some way. but not sure how to start? Need a sounding board to help you explore/develop a project in the community? Every Thursday 9-11 AM CCE Director, Allison Alden, and Community Engagement Coordinator, Christie Zwahlen, will be available to assist you in the CCE office, Library South Ground 548. No appointment necessary. If these times are not convenient, please email Allison or Christie directly to set a meeting time.

CCE Lunctime Open Forum 

Date & Time: Thursday, April 18th, 2013 from 12 to 1 PM

Location: Library Sound Ground 548

The CCE is hosting informal luncheons over the course of the semester to provide a venue for faculty to discuss their community based work with colleagues from across campus. The purpose is for faculty to learn about others' community work/interests to identify potential common areas of interest or points of synergy. Discussion will focus on efforts related top service-learning classes, research projects, and service initiatives, specifically, as they address community issues and challenges. The discussions will take place over lunch, which is provided by the CCE. Pre-registration is necessary. Space limited to 12. Please email cce@binghamton.edu with your name department, which session you will attend, if you have any dietary restrictions, and just a brief sentence or two about your community based work or interest.
