Program Description: Ramp It Up is a youth mentoring initiative designed to not only set homeowners free, but also expose our next generation to the joy of community service. After 3 seasons and nearly 40 ramps built, Ramp It Up has learned a lot about building wheelchair ramps. Now is time to better organize and package our cumulative knowledge to streamline our operation.
Program Mission: Broome County Council of Churches' Youth Mentoring Initiative is a volunteer mission to promote service, learning, and community involvement for youth.
Position Description: As Program Work Plan Developer one will begin by gaining an understanding of Ramp It Up. The three main components of the program are Volunteer management, Client/Applicant data management, and budgeting. Candidate must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Reading through electronic and paper documents and files
- Determine and prioritize all steps of the project by each month through a calendar year
- Revise existing timeline
- Input all data to computer using Microsoft Office products
Outcome: To develop a comprehensive, user friendly package, that chronologically outlines the components necessary to initiate and carry out a youth-volunteer based, wheelchair ramp building program, available in both print and digital media.

Description: Design the agency’s annual report to the community and prepare for printing. Design PowerPoint presentations on each of our programs to be used in marketing. Update IT inventory. Assist with software billing coding (optional). Can work remotely.
Responsibilities
A. Annual Report
- Concept development and project planning: Meet with staff to determine theme and ideas for cover and content. Staff can provide template if needed.
- Student will provide estimated hours needed for the project.
- Project layout: Student will use text from the agency staff and photos (purchased from IStock if needed). Discuss digital color or black/white options. (Due Friday, April 6)
- Staff will review first draft in PDF format for changes and recommendations. (Changes due back to student Friday, April 13)
- Final layout (Due Friday, April 20)
- Files to printer (Due Friday, April 27)
- Printer delivery by May 17th for the annual meeting.
B. PowerPoint
- Revise the agency’s general PowerPoint presentation for the executive director’s speaking engagements. (Due April 1)
- Create a separate PowerPoint presentation for a couple of our major programs (Due April 1)
C. IT Inventory
- Check agency computer inventory and update Access database. (Due April 10)
D. Medicare Billing (optional)
- Assist accounting department in working with our software vendor in determining errors in our Medicare file submission for the new HIPAA 5010 requirement (Due March 31)
Minimum Requirements:
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software, specifically InDesign and Photo Shop. Ability to design graphs for financial page. Experience with print layout and design for a booklet-style report.
- Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Experience with Microsoft Access database.
- Experience with billing codes, specifically Medicare billing (optional).
Preferable Characteristics: Attentive to detail and accuracy. Creative and good organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines under time constraints.

Girl Scouts of NYPenn Pathways, Inc.

Major Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage the administrative, scheduling, and project management systems for the department’s equestrian program.
Primary Functions:
- Compile database of horseback riding facilities and evaluate current Certificates of Liability Insurance to ensure information is up-to-date; facilitate renewal of Certificates, as needed.
- Contact horseback riding facilities that require updated Certificates to obtain current status.
- Evaluate riding facility inspection reports and determine next steps for riding facilities (ex. re-inspection dates, schedule stable inspection site visits on behalf of the Director, maintain filing system, compose letters/memos as appropriate).
- Coordinate, work with and provide general administrative support to the equestrian program, (ex. set-up and manage information flow, answer phones, open mail, filing, other general office duties)..
- Set-up and confirm arrival, length of stay, and departure dates of horseback riding providers. Ensure all paperwork is received prior to services/arrival.
- Assist in recruitment of horse riding facilities for relevant camps.
- Other related duties as required.
- Subscribes to tenets of the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Looking to grow our customer base via advertising and public relations. Job would include handing out fliers, hanging posters and developing relationships with other businesses in preparation for our annual Customer Appreciation Sale. Moderate travel and phone time required. Someone with access to their own car is preferred.

- Assist with implementation of designated child's individual goals/objectives. Assist designated child with acquisition of self-help skill an personal hygiene.
- Ensure a safe environment for the designated child in the classroom, playground, and on trips.
- Assist in moving designated child to and from th ewaiting room and bus/van loading and unloading.
- Assist in preparing for daily snack for designated child.
- Assist in cleaning up the child's adaptive equipment and performing designated assignments as directed.
- Attend team meetings and paretn meetings as per the discretion of the Special Education Teacher.
