The Center For Civic Engagement is launching a new focus on youth engagement this year in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension's Citizen U Project, Hinman College and many other local organizations! Citizen U is a pilot project that helps teens from Binghamton High School develop leadership, community development and workforce readiness skills. Teens involved in the project have worked on community projects including local park restoration, mentoring children in local community centers, advocating for healthier lifestyles, and working towards community development and change. With the guidance of Binghamton University students and community members, the teens plan to continue their mission!
