The Aldo and Reta Bernardo Fund – Named in honor of Professor Emeritus Aldo Bernardo (1920-2011), Department of Romance Languages, and his wife, Reta. Professor Bernardo, one of the world’s leading Dante scholars, was co-founder of CEMERS in 1966. This endowed fund supports an annual lecture in medieval literature, courses in medieval languages and literature, and an Excellence Award for graduating seniors majoring in Medieval or Early Modern Studies. The Richard Trexler Memorial Fund – Named in memory of Richard Trexler, Distinguished Research Professor (History Department). Beginning his career as a specialist in the Florentine Renaissance, Professor Trexler drew on Anthropology in his teaching and groundbreaking publications, making a profound impact across several fields of scholarship. This fund supports innovative graduate and post-doctoral research directly related to the dissertation or to a single-authored book. (Account # 203730)
