For NSE students exchanging to Binghamton University

Welcome! Thank you for choosing Binghamton for your NSE experience.

If you have not already completed the application process, stop now and contact your home school’s NSE coordinator. If you have been placed at Binghamton, please be sure to sign your Placement Acceptance Form with your home NSE coordinator.

Once that paperwork is completed, the NSE coordinator at Binghamton, Birgit Nicolaisen, will contact you via e-mail regarding many aspects of your exchange including course registration. You will be designated a Binghamton.edu e-mail account. Other offices such as Residential Life, Student Accounts, Health Services, etc will also contact you via e-mail with important information. Please check your Binghamton.edu e-mail regularly.

You will be asked to complete health forms http://www2.binghamton.edu/health/new-students.html. If these are not completed in a timely manner, your courses may be dropped.

If you have questions about the academic calendar you can go to http://www2.binghamton.edu/about/university-calendar.html. This may help with planning your travel.

If you have questions about the weather, well….you name it and we’ve got it…sun, rain, snow, ice, and fog…although not usually all in the same day. Fall semester starts off quite warm and gradually gets cooler. December can be quite cold, although January and February are our coldest months.

We hope you are getting excited about your upcoming visit to Binghamton. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the NSE coordinator, Birgit Nicolaisen, directly.
