CICO has a variety of outreach programs and events that vary each year. These include:
- Lecture-recitals, a unique combination of a multimedia presentation on China's ethnic groups' songs and a recital of that music
- Lectures by Binghamton University Visiting Professors of Theater (from NACTA) on Beijing Opera and Chinese Music at other universities, schools, and public venues
- Tabling at Binghamton University Day at Oakdale Mall
- Annual Chinese Dinner with Binghamton High School
- Tabling at Broome County Ethnic Festival
