Biography: Michal Cutler received a BA in Applied Mathematics from Tel Aviv University, and became a programmer while serving in the Israeli army. After completing two years of service, she worked as a programmer and system analyst for seven years. Going back to school, she received an MA and a PhD in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot. She joined the Department of Computer Science at Binghamton University in 1983, and became a tenured associate professor in 1989.
