Biography
Timothy Normand Miller has 16 years of industry experience in chip design, embedded systems, software engineering, GPU architecture, and computer graphics. He received his PhD from The Ohio State University in 2012, specializing in Computer Architecture, with research topics including optimization of multiprocessor designs for lower power, improved energy efficiency, and greater reliability. He has authored twelve publications, in top journals and conferences, including HPCA and MICRO. Tim is also the founder of the Open Graphics Project, whose mission is to develop a fully open-architecture GPU and powerful GPU simulator. Tim joined the Binghamton University Computer Science Department in Autumn of 2012.
