Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to help make student life on campus easier and happier by spreading the good energy!

Matthew Blum

Year in School: Sophomore

Major: Management with dual concentrations in Marketing and Finance (Minors in History and Global Studies)

Where are you from? North Woodmere, NY

Involvement at Binghamton U: Students in Free Enterprise, Student Association Programming Board, Alpha Epsilon Pi

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to increase the awareness of the Dean of Students Office to the student population and improve the connection between the two.

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to be a part of the Dean's Team because I love being creative and organizing events. I have always enjoyed communicating with people so bridging the barrier between the students and faculty will be a fun challenge!

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team? 
The reason why I wanted to be a part of the deans team is because I enjoy working with people and want to help bring the students of Binghamton University closer together as a community.

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to join to be able to help make changes on campus that can get students more involved and try to bring back school spirit.

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to become a part of the Dean's Team because I felt that I could contribute my ideas to help improve and maintain Binghamton's numerous campus activities.

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I wanted to join the Dean's Team because I genuinely love Binghamton University, and I really wanted the chance to make it a better place for all of its students. What I think makes Binghamton University so unique from other colleges is its strong sense of community and campus pride, and I can't wait to help strengthen the campus atmosphere.

Involvement at Binghamton U: Resident Assistant in CIW, Tour Guide, Student Association Programming Board, Certified facilitator for the Student Association's Conflict Resolution Center

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I joined the Dean's Team so that I could help the Dean plan events that students will enjoy attending! I also think it's awesome that the Dean is asking students to be involved with the planning of sponsored events, I feel that, as a student, my opinion is valued.

Involvement at Binghamton U: Volunteer at Campus Pre-School, English as a Second Language program, Dickinson Leadership Certificate Program basic and advanced

Why did you want to join the Dean's Team?
I loved how Binghamton's DOS office put so much effort in reaching out to the students, and thought it an admirable group to join to help achieve a sense of community and pride in staff and student relations.
