We can connect you to a variety of leadership resources on campus. Some of these include:

B-Involved

Login to B-Involved where you can build up your involvement transcript.  You can add self-reported experiences as well as reflection statements so you have it as a reference for the future. You can also search specifically for philanthropic, social, cultural and other leadership opportunities to get involved in.

Center for Civic Engagement

The Center for Civic Engagement can provide countless opportunities to get involved in our local community, as well as globally.  Check out the service listings as well as the events calendar and you're certain to find a way to make a difference.

Center for Leadership Studies

The Center for Leadership Studies at Binghamton University was created and has been at the forefront of innovative leadership research for over two decades. Through the theoretical integration of multiple levels of analysis in the areas of strategic leadership, leadership and team decision making, and creatively leading for innovation, the Center continues to define the future of leadership research and practice.

Dickinson Leadership Certificates

The Dickinson Leadership Certificate Beginner and Advanced Series will help with personal and professional development, collaboration and you can learn skills to help your community.

Discovery

The mission is to help students successfully transition to college and also throughout their undergraduate experience while maximizing their academic potential. Discovery Advisors serve as a first step for students to acquire academic guidance, gain knowledge about the resources available on campus, and learn how to effectively improve their time management, study techniques and note-taking skills.

Emerging Leaders Program

Whether you're an incoming student interested in developing leadership skills or a returning student looking to join a mentor program, the Emerging Leaders Program is an excellent resource.  

Excellence in Student Leadership Awards

These awards are given to students who exemplify leadership at Binghamton University.  

Hinman College Leadership & Service

Active engagement in Community Service, and Leadership in campus organizations and activities are valuable stepping stones in Hinman students' development.  The mission of the Hinman ALIVE (Achieving Leadership in Volunteer Experiences) program: to create a vibrant community of engaged, socially conscious students empowered with the leadership skills to make a difference in Hinman, at Binghamton University, and in the greater Binghamton community.

Public Speaking Skills Lab

The Public Speaking Skills Lab (PSSL) supports Binghamton University Students in developing and enhancing their public speaking and oral communication skills.  This includes assistance with groups, presentation preparation and assessment, and support in managing presentation anxiety.

Do you have leadership experience but not quite sure how to represent that to others? Use this quick reference guide to help you demonstrate those specific abilities on a resume. 

Residential Life

Be sure to speak with your Resident Assistants and Resident Directors about leadership opportunities in programming, collaboration and hall governments.

Student Association

The Student Association has an organization for every type of activity and interest on campus and many will give you the opportunity to further develop your leadership abilities.
