The mission of the Safe Zone at Binghamton University is to identify, educate, and support allies. Allies are individuals within the BU community who consider themselves to be open and knowledgeable about lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) issues and who choose to provide support, as well as advocate with those who are LGBTQ.
The vision of the Safe Zone is to foster an atmosphere of support and celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning individuals within the Binghamton University Community.
