Binghamton University is student-centered in the classroom, but if you’re looking for the hub for student-centered activities on campus, you’ve found it here. The Office of Campus Activities is all about making connections – and giving you the chance to choose from any of the hundreds of opportunities you have to get involved on campus.
Campus Activities advances the mission of Binghamton University and the Dean of Students Office by providing students an enriched collegiate experience through meaningful opportunities to learn and develop leadership, interpersonal, programming and organizational skills so that they can connect and contribute to the University community.
Campus Activities staff serve as student-focused advocates, navigators, advisors, educators and administrators while working collaboratively to support programs that meet the needs and interests of students.
We educate and encourage students and organizations regarding effective and appropriate event planning.
Traditional events are all coordinated by Campus Activities staff working with partner student organizations.
Large Scale Event Planning – The associate director for Campus Activities works with student organizations hosting major, campus-wide events on campus. These events include nationally known acts brought to campus by the Student Association Programming Board. See our Event Planning Resource Guide for information and tips for planning your events.

And don't forget Late Nite Binghamton, an exciting part of campus life! Late Nite Binghamton program provides activities attractive to all students during peak social interaction hours. All Late Nite programs are held in the University Union on Friday and Saturday nights from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Activities include movies, crafts, video game tournaments, live music, comedians, and more, as well as co-sponsored events with SA-chartered student organizations. Events take place throughout University Union, including the Undergrounds Coffeehouse, the Tillman Lobby and other nearby rooms.
Our undergraduate student event staff is dedicated to keeping a safe environment for all major University-wide campus events. From concerts to cultural events, the staff is trained and equipped to handle security issues, working in conjunction with University Police and Harper's Ferry (the BU student ambulance service). Always alert to situations during events, our staff look for potential problems and do their best to manage situations quickly.
If you want to get involved in a student organization, we work closely with the Student Association, which charters student groups, and we can help you find what’s right for you.
