Professor Terriquez-Kasey feels that there is a need for increased education regarding cultural diversity in and outside of nursing. She feels if we are to teach a society tolerance, then we need to teach nurses to have the capability to respond to disasters in the world. We need to have an increased understanding of different people and their cultures.
