
This program is open to matriculated students who have a baccalaureate degree and who are interested in forensics. Interested students need not be nursing majors. The Graduate Certificate in Forensic Health requires the successful completion of three (3 credit) graduate courses in forensic health for a total of 9 credits. The following courses are required:

Graduate module on expert witness testimony. |

FORENSIC HEALTH OF OFFENDERS: Includes: overview of forensic health issues as they relate to perpetrators of violent crimes, including intrafamilial violence, sexual violence, stalking, workplace violence, homicide, and terrorism, as well as crime classifications, relationship between animal cruelty and human violence, offender needs and rights, female offenders, juvenile offenders and correctional health. Graduate module on criminal profiling. |

In the semester in which you complete the requirements for the Forensic Health certificate, notify Jennie Orton and provide a transcript. She will ensure that the Certificate is awarded and noted on the student's official transcript. A Certificate will then be issued.
