Tenure-Track Faculty Position (September 2012)

State University of New York at Binghamton, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level, with an expected start date of September 2012. Highest priority will be given to electrical or computer engineering applicants with interest and background in a life-sciences-oriented area (including but not limited to: medical imaging, design of circuits/systems for biomedical applications, signal processing for biological problems, telemedicine, etc.). Binghamton University has recently announced plans for a new state-of-the-art Health and Natural Sciences facility.

Qualifications include an earned Ph.D. in electrical or computer engineering or closely related field, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching and research. Candidate is expected to establish and maintain an active research program and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The ECE department has just moved (summer 2011) to a new wellequipped research building.
