The Peer Counselor will assist in transition of students through exposure to areas in social development, cross cultural awareness, campus resources and academic preparation in a challenging and dynamic summer program. The Peer Counselor will also provide counseling and live-in support services to approximately 12-14 pre-freshmen students.
A two credit course is offered in the spring semester to provide training for the summer program. This course is mandatory and hiring is conditional on participation in this class.

The Rhetoric Instructor and TA will help students develop reading and writing skills to assist with their general critical thinking skills that they can apply to their freshmen coursework. Assistance is also given to helping students develop strong academic work habits. The ultimate goal is to transition these individuals to the challenges and rigors of college life.
The Math Instructor and TA will help students develop mathematical skills to assist with their general critical thinking and problem solving skills that they can apply to their freshmen coursework.
