Applications

Imagery should be used to inspire curiosity. Perhaps it’s unexpected, intense or emotional, but the best photography engages the viewer in some way.

The people portrayed in University photos should reflect natural expressions that make sense with the text. Perhaps they’re presenting the thought or reacting to it. Other imagery, like the use of metaphor, should be used to amplify and augment the message, as well as lend editorial tonality and dimension. Wherever possible, avoid cliché.
