The sixth Faculty Senate meeting of the 2000-2001 academic year will be held on Tuesday, April 17, at 11:45 a.m. in UU-221B.

The agenda is:

1) Approval of minutes of February 27 (attachment 1)

2) Announcements/Questions

     a) Report by H. Stephen Straight, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, on recent SUNY-wide General Education Conference

     b) Report by Prof. Randall McGuire, Chair, Faculty Senate Executive Committee, on recent committee activities

3) New Business

     a) Approval of following resolution from Faculty Senate Executive Committee regarding recent campus swastika incidents: The Binghamton University Faculty Senate deplores and condemns the recent incidents involving the painting of swastikas on University property. The Faculty Senate endorses Administration efforts to determine the identities of the perpetrators of these acts and to mete out appropriate punishment. There is no room for such acts of hatred and intolerance within our university community.

     b) Proposed changes from Faculty Senate University Undergraduate Curriculum Committee regarding general education:

          1) AP Credits (attachment 2)

          2) C and O Requirements (attachment 3)

          3) Foreign Language Requirement (attachment 4)
